Fall 2025

Colombia Tejida

This knitwear collection is inspired by my Colombian heritage, drawing from the vibrant colors, tropical landscapes, flora, fauna, and traditional craft found throughout Colombia. I developed a series of motifs that reference recognizable elements such as tropical birds, flowers, coffee plants, and mountains.

Throughout the design process, I explored how hand-drawn and digital imagery could be transformed into knit structures. Using digital design tools, pixel-based graphics, and knit/loom simulation software, I simplified and translated my motifs into patterns that could realistically be produced through knitting. I experimented with scale, repetition, stripes, medallions, and tossed layouts to see how the same visual vocabulary could create distinctly different textile surfaces.

The final collection brings together cultural storytelling and technical experimentation. Each design celebrates a different aspect of Colombia while demonstrating how inspiration can move from a moodboard and individual motifs into pixelated knit graphics, garment applications, and a cohesive textile collection.
