Fall 2025

Form & Fabric Study

In these pieces, I explored still life and shading with tones in graphite pencils on paper. I began by recreating a striped flag I had previously painted, translating its folds and wrinkles into three separate compositions. From there, I applied the same shading principles to a larger composition: a body form positioned in front of a larger scale of a striped flag. Through these exercises I was able to refine my value and contrast drawing skills.
