Spring 2025
Transformative Pattern Innovation
For my FTD 200 Midterm Project, I transformed a basic t-shirt pattern into a boho-inspired, flowy dress design that emphasized silhouette transformation and fabric movement. I began by modifying the neckline into a V-shape in the front and a scoop in the back to create a more open and feminine design. I cropped the bodice to a high-waisted length and reshaped the sleeves into a sleeveless cut for a light, airy feel. To complement the fitted top, I designed a midi-length skirt with box pleats that added fullness and flow. The final garment combines my pattern making skills with creativity to create a cohesive boho look.
