On Par
This project, On Par: Performance Wear for Every Setting, was developed as part of an undergraduate case study exploring multifunctional apparel design and textile performance. Created for submission to the AATCC student competition, the work investigates how garments can seamlessly transition across professional, athletic, and social environments through thoughtful design and material innovation.
I led the design and development of the collection, creating the garments and visual direction, while collaborating with Caroline Adkins, a Fashion Marketing student with a Product Management concentration at North Carolina State University. This interdisciplinary approach strengthened the project by integrating both design execution and market-driven strategy.
Grounded in industry-relevant testing standards, the project incorporates AATCC methodologies to evaluate key performance factors such as moisture management, durability, and odor control. These considerations informed both the design process and material selection, ensuring each piece balances functionality with a refined, contemporary aesthetic.
